Mission Statement:

The overall function of this department is Property Management and Purchasing, managing, coordination, and regulating the activies surrounding the planning of property needs and acquiring property. This departmentis tomaintain the receipt of, improvements, storage and distribution of property, the proper utilization and care of property, property accounting control and disposition of property, and other secondary and interal functions which affects the property of the organization.

This department manages and maintains centralized Property Management, Purchasing, Records Storage, Office Supplies and Mail Pickup and Distribution.

Program Goals and Objectives:

The Turtle Mountain Property and Supply Department maintains a database for Land purchases and Land donations to the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians.

We are required to report magor general infrastructure assets that were acquired (purchase, constructed, or donated) in the fiscal years ending June 30, 1980, or that received major renavations, restorations, or improvements during this period.

The Turlte Mountain Property and Supply Department manages Insurance coverage for the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians. We utilize assets records for the insurance purposes. In the event of a loss it is necessary to have an accurate records of the asset to ensure adequate insurance coverage.

Procedure to be eligible for services:

The Property and Supply Department serves one hundred thirty eight (138) Federal/State programs that are currently active and twenty (15) Non-Federal Programs inculding the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians Administrative Department.
